For many years the use of structural steel fabric was considered to be the only choice for concrete reinforcement. But this was both time cosuming and labour intensive. But for approximentely 40 years steel fibres have been used as an alternative and in that time they have achieved a long and proven track record.
The performance of fibres depends on both the dosage (kg/m3) and the fibre parameters (tensile strengths, length, diameter and anchorage). A key factor for quality for quality fibre is the relationship between the length and the diameter of the fibres: the higher the length/diameter ratio, the better the performance.
The AD-Tec steel fibre range consists of fibres in different shapes and sizes, each with different performance levels. Improvements in the concrete structures can be seen further when the AD-Tec steel fibres are blended with specific ADFIL micro and macro synthetic fibres.
